The 3030 Savage direct pressure machine is manufactured by Media Blast & Abrasives Inc., a leading manufacturer of quality industrial blast cabinets for over 30 years.
The 3030 Savage is designed to meet today’s needs using smaller cfm producing air compressors. Direct pressure machines use a pressure pot assembly to pneumatically push the abrasive media.
The blast nozzle is actually a blasting jet ... keep in mind that an air jet is what creates the compressor air demand. The direct pressure machines push the abrasive through a much smaller hole than the siphon machines. This delivers a very concentrated abrasive pattern typical of all direct pressure systems. Concentrated abrasive creates more frictional heat that at times helps with the removal of heavy coatings. Because the abrasive is being pneumatically pushed, it travels faster at any blasting pressure… about twice as fast as the same blasting pressure in any siphon unit.
What makes the 3030 Savage unique is all the controls have been designed for operation with smaller air volumes. Stainless steel wire mesh scalper screens have been built into the unit to prevent small nozzle clogging. All the hoses are smaller in diameter making operation inside the cabinet easier. The unit is equipped with a 110 square foot cartridge filter that is nearly HEPA quality in filtration, 99.5% with 0.5 micron ... the dust collector is cleaned from the operator’s station by using the manually operated reverse pulse cleaning assembly. The machine also includes a 550 cfm exhaust blower and blower silencer assembly.
The 3030 Savage is not a low cost pressure machine but a properly designed machine for use with smaller compressors and limited floor space.
Ideal for direct pressure applications when only 220 single-phase electricity is available for compressor operation and floor space is at a premium.
